Christmas Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We hope that you all enjoyed the childrens’ singing at our Christmas Carol Service on December 5th.  It was lovely to hear so many of you joining in with the children at the end.

There will be another opportunity to air those vocal chords for any parent who would like to join us on Thursday, December 14th from 11am – 12 o’clock, outside ‘Essence’.  Every year children from 2nd to 6th class sing carols and songs to raise funds for charity.  This year we will be collecting for ‘Fr. Peter McVerry Trust Limerick’.  Parents are very welcome to watch, listen or join in.

In the spirit of goodwill towards all of our pupils, teachers will remind children not to exchange cards, invitations or gifts at school or on school grounds.  This can result in some children feeling left out, which is contrary to the spirit and ethos of the school.

We wish to remind you that school will close at 12 o’clock on Friday 22nd December.  Please remind your child to take home hats, gloves, and warm coats that may be needed over the holidays.

Please mark in diary:  On Thursday January 11th, school will close at 12:30 for staff training.

On behalf of all the staff and BOM of Scoil Fhionáin, I would like to wish you a happy peaceful Christmas and New Year.
